FAQ

What happens at our session?

Studio Sessions take place in the morning at my studio in Belmont.
After a few minutes getting the kids on side we start our session which involves, chinese whispers, kisses, lots of cuddles and even some twirling when the kids have warmed up to the camera.

Sunset Sessions we meet an hour before sunset.
The truth is that the kids run the session, so where-ever they are happy, that’s where we will go. I aim to make my sessions as natural, comfortable and fun as possible. I may gently guide you onto a certain spot, or suggest an activity that gets everyone involved. Don't forget to bring balls or anything that you enjoy playing together that's appropriate for outdoors, also an outdoor family blanket if you have one.

In home sessions are best in the morning when the kids are fresh.
When I arrive I’ll spend some time getting to know the kids to make sure they are comfortable with me (and my camera) We will go on a tour of the house to check out rooms and the light, I’ll then give you an idea on the flow of the shoot. However the truth is that the kids run the session, where ever they are happy, that’s where we will go. There will be plenty of time for breaks and snacks. What if my children don't listen?

Please don't worry about what your children may or may or may not do on the day. Kids will be kids and we'll just roll with whatever happens. Failing that there is always chocolate as an incentive!

When will we receive our images?

The day after the shoot you’ll receive a sneak peak of the gallery. I aim to have your entire gallery delivered to you within three weeks, viewable in an online gallery. Here you can download, share and order beautiful artwork and prints for your home.

What if we are sick?

If any members of the family are at all unwell then we reschedule for a later date. The same goes for me, I don’t want to pass my germs onto your family.

Are you vaccinated?

Yes I am double vaccinated. Current restrictions put in place mean that I can only photograph you if you are too.

What on earth do we wear?

Mum, choose your outfit first, put on whatever makes you feel the best fabulous. If you are happy and comfortable then this will show in your photos. Work your families outfits around what you are wearing, everyone should compliment each other but not be matching. Neutral and soft tones are timeless. Fabrics that photograph well are linen, wool, lace and cotton. Try to avoid clothing with brands/logos or distracting patterns. Once you are booked in and preparing for your shoot I'll help you sort this out if you are struggling.
